Communicators is a specialist search and recruitment agency focused on finding the best-fit opportunities for public relations, marketing and digital talent. We match the best employers with talented candidates looking for their next career challenge.
We have many years experience working at a senior level in PR and marketing communications roles and have a good knowledge of digital channels. Our understanding of the skills required for each role has been fundamental to the success of Communicators. Each candidate is assessed as soon as they register with Communicators, prior to client interview, to ensure that only well-matched applicants are put forward.
Communicators’ clients have become candidates and Communicators’ candidates have become clients. The high level of referrals and repeat business generated reflects the quality of the work we do.
Communicators operates very much on a search basis using both our extensive database of over 1000 candidates, business social media links and our strong networks in New Zealand and overseas. In addition, the roles we are working on may be advertised on the Communicators’ website and relevant social media and industry websites.
Communicators was formed in 2006 to fill a space in the communications industry for a search and recruitment agency, dedicated to the field of communications and public relations.
2008 saw the exciting rise of social media and the adaptation of Facebook for corporate and business use. The marketing and communications profession changed radically as a result and the concept of digital marketing became a reality.
With the release of third and fourth generation devices from Apple, such as the iPad and iPhone the business world changed again. The use of these devices caused an unprecedented surge in mobile web browsing and resulted in spawning whole new website technologies such as responsive design. Companies quickly took advantage of new ways to communicate with and target markets with these tools.
In the space of seven years there have been dramatic changes in technology and in the business world as a direct result. Voice activated technologies evolved to the point of consumerisation with the release of the Google Glass in 2013. The pace of change is rapid and the marketing and communications professions have evolved just as quickly. In June 2013 Communicators introduced a stronger focus on digital marketing roles.
